The Giant Arroz Valenciana Of SM City San Jose Del Monte Fed 500 Day Care Students, San Joseños

The ceremonial mixing of the SM’s Giant Valenciana prior to serving with (L-R) Councilor Jose Abela, Councilor Enrique Delos Santos, Councilor Ryan Elfa, Vice Mayor Efren Bartolome, Mayor Arthur Robes, Congresswoman Rida Robes, Councilor Noli Conception, SM Senior Asst. Vice President for Operations Ronald Allan D. Brosas, SM Regional Manager for Operations Lea D. Casamayor, SM City San Jose del Monte Mall Manager Jose Mari Emmanuel H. Correa, SM Group Marketing Manager Jesus Raymund M. Aranas.

SM City San Jose del Monte hosted the cooking demo of a 10-foot diameter Arroz Valenciana as part of the week-long Tanglawan Festival.

Arroz Valenciana is a dish similar to paella. This Latin American dish is already part of the Filipino cuisine that makes use of glutinous or sweet rice (malagkit), coconut milk, boiled eggs, chorizo and of course chicken. The Valenciana cook-out at the Al-Fresco area of SM City San Jose del Monte used 100 kilos of rice and 100 kilos of chicken, prepared and pre-cooked by some of the most renowned restaurants in the city – Tito Renz Restaurants, KaEnan Sa Garden, and Gringneth Restaurant

After the ceremonial mixing of the Giant Valenciana led by Congresswoman Rida Robes and City Mayor Arthur Robes, it was distributed to the 500 day care students and to more than a thousand constituents of San Jose del Monte who attended the event.

Since the event was really a feeding program for the day care students, SM City San Jose del Monte also prepared a mini show for the kids, wherein ABS-CBN’s Team Yey and Jollibee gracefully danced and made the kids enjoy their day.

SM City San Jose del Monte is hoping to showcase this kind of cook-out very year as part of their humble participation for the Tanglawan Festival of the Rising City. Arya San Joseño!

  1. Hey, I think your website might be having browser compatibility issues. When I look at your blog in Chrome, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, awesome blog!

  2. Have you ever considered about including a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything. But imagine if you added some great images or video clips to give your posts more, "pop"! Your content is excellent but with images and video clips, this blog could undeniably be one of the best in its field. Wonderful blog!
