McDonald’s Philippines recently welcomed four-division world champion and the reigning WBO, The Ring and WBC Diamond Super Bantamweight Champion boxer Nonito Donaire as their newest brand ambassador. The world’s well-loved brand and the fast-rising sports icon dubbed as Boxer of the Year 2012 by different boxing pundits in the world have reached an exciting partnership that will show Filipinos the funny and light side of Donaire.
McDonald’s Philippines President and CEO Kenneth Yang said, “We are very happy to have Nonito Donaire as a McDonald’s ambassador. He is one of the many athletes who truly inspire the nation to work hard for their goals, maintain a happy disposition and be proud of being Filipino – exactly the traits and values maintained by McDonald’s Philippines.” Avid Pinoy boxing fans better get ready for the series of fun McDonald’s campaigns featuring ‘The Filipino Flash’ which will definitely be surefire hits.
