Bubble Tea, Tomas Morato

Before you scroll down, here's a little video I made that contain some facts about BUBBLE TEA - Tokyo Milk Tea Place. Watch it! :]

When I first heard about Bubble Tea, I thought that this was just another store that serve cold beverages and dessert but not. Upon entering the place you will immediately feel the cozy atmosphere it brings. I feel relaxed and I just want to stay on the place all night long, it feels like home. The restaurant is well lighted but not too much, the crowd is okay too.

Their drink menu offers an exciting variety of flavors of milk teas, milk shakes, tea slush, black tea and green tea from hot to cold, to suit your tastes best. Bubble Tea features Japanese-Western fusion food, ranging from fusion maki, sushi, Japanese pasta, donburi, ramen, okonomiyaki pizza, takoyaki ball, teriyaki chicken baked rice and many more! I just fell in love with Bubble Tea the moment I step in.

How Do I Love Thee Bubble Tea, Let Me Count The Ways!

1. The ambiance is nice, the place is not too crowded.
2. The staff is prompt and accommodating, they managed us well even though we're many.
3. They used only premium milk teas and they brew their own teas everyday.
4. Their Japanese fusion food offers an exciting gastronomic adventures that is not available in other stores.
5. Taro Milk Tea is a must try and it's not artificially flavored just like others.
6. They have cakes too and it's so delicious! Especially made by Ms. Aileen the wife of the owner. You should try Mango Cheesecake, Macha Green Tea Cake and Cookies and Cream Cake.
7. Their Takoyaki is so good! You should not missed this grilled octopus-filled balls made of pancake batter. It is topped with mayonnaise, katsuobushi and sweet soy sauce.

Chicken Lollipop Korokke - P165.00 (3 pieces)
sidings for Takoyaki

I recommend you to try the Takoyaki balls and the Okonomiyaki Pizza. Takoyaki is crispy on the outside but soft on the side which I like, it's grilled that's why. It is topped with mayonnaise, katsuobushi and sweet soy sauce which has the perfect mix of sweet and salty. Okonomiyaki on the other hand is a batter wrapped around meat and vegetables, topped with mayonnaise. It's pizza, Japanese style.

I think their Chicken Lollipop Korokke is just ordinary tasting chicken but when you dip it on the honey mustard dip it became so special. Aspara Bacon Yaki taste so fresh! It's basically a grilled asparagus skewers wrapped in bacon but the freshness of the asparagus makes it extraordinary.

I'm not really a fan of anything that has pesto because I want my pasta either white or red but their Tori Pesto Pasta can be an exclusion because it's just plain appetizing just by looking at it. Don't forget to try Spicy Mix Seafood and Tomato Spaghetti because it has an exciting mix of salmon, tuna, squid, prawn, clam and mussel with a mild spicy tomato sauce, fit for the pasta aficionados like me.

Choosing from their 'Yoshoku Rice Dish' offering I could recommend the Beef Stew Curry (it's a Japanese style sweet and mild spicy curry sauce topped on sliced beef stew with rice and egg) and the Yakiniku Beef Rice, grilled sliced USDA beef marinated in Yakiniku sauce served with garlic rice and other sidings.

Dragon Maki - P365.00

Gyoza - P125.00
Beef Stew Curry - P265.00

BUBBLE TEA CAKES

The owner's wife, Aileen Tan personally made this cakes. She went to the Vancouver CommunityCollege for her pastry and culinary education. The one that I could recommend is the Macha Green Tea Cake, not your usual cake.

MILK TEAS & MILK SHAKES

The one that I could recommend is the Strawberry Milk Tea and get the large size (125 pesos) since the difference is just ten pesos. It taste so natural, not too sweet and I like how they present their milk tea because it's not too cold, just the right amount. They have this 'Bubble Option' that let's you choose between: big, small or combination. You can also choose if you want your drink with 50% less sugar.

Another recommended drink is their best seller, Royal Milk Tea with bubbles and egg pudding. The owner says people come to visit their store for this drink. Bubble Tea serves Coffee and Herb Tea too.
