We Filipinos love food! Filipinos being natural food lovers have developed the culture of dining as an extension of social interaction. So even though there are food parks sprouting like mushrooms almost every month around the metro, most of them are thriving and fast becoming a go-to place of today's millennials. They are worth the hype to say the least! One of them is 150 Maginhawa Food Park strategically located in Quezon City's melting pot street of cuisines.
Named after its address, 150 Maginhawa Food Park is your ideal place to dine and chill. Just a few blocks pass the Maginhawa-Malingap intersection you will be welcomed by a facade of warm-colored Japanese lanterns surrounding a Sampaloc tree.
It is the first food park to offer fresh hand-pulled noodles and while most food parks only offer beer, 150 Maginhawa Food Park advances from the competition with its own wine cellar. Another factor worth noting is its chill, laid-back appeal; an airy ambiance of greenery and sizeable dining space that puts its customers’ comfort into priority.
Here are the 13 reasons why you should visit this food park:
1. CELLAR 150
How many food parks in the metro that has its own wine cellar? So far I haven't heard of one. That's the good thing about 150 Maginhawa Food Park they offer choices! 3. THE PIGGERY
The Piggery offers all pork comfort food but what I really love about them is their Three Little Pigs (P350.00), their Sizzling Sisig (P220) and of course their humongous Milo Dinosaur (P120 for 1 liter and P200 for 2 liters) that is really Instagram-worthy! They also have Calamansi Juice, Iced Tea and Strawberry Yakult. The Piggery is one of my favorite stall for sure.
4. BALAY BAGNET
Balay Bagnet offers its signature Nilasing na Bagnet (P180.00) with different sauces or dips. It's a new take on the traditional and well-loved Ilocos Bagnet. It is serve with rice and Jelly Shots (strawberry & mango flavored) infused with a kick of vodka. I felt really guilty after eating this, haha! :)
5. SAM'S ICE CREAM AND SHAKES
After you've stuff your tummy with your 150 Maginhawa Food Park favorites end it with an order at Sam's Ice Cream and Shakes that serves great tasting ice cream buns and shakes. Their best sellers? 150 Maginhawa Food Park's newest tenant is YEAH! BURGERS x SANDWICHES. Now just on its soft opening but looks very promising! Just look at their The Ultimate Yeah Burger (P299.00) above. The quality and the presentation of the food that there serve will speaks up for it. Don't forget to try their satisfying Mushroom Swiss (P299.00), another winner!
7. DZ DINER
Their facade may looks simple but their food especially their Beef Salpicao (P180.00) is to die for. DZ Diner also offers Seafood Pesto (P150.00) which is another favorite of mine. They also serve fries, panini, pasta, and more!

Canada may not be known for its fancy cuisine. It's about simple food, fresh ingredients and a combination of textures and flavors like no other. I first tried Donair (P150.00) here at Canadian Snack Shack and it became an instant fave. Donair is done by placing the meat is placed on a thin, Lebanese-style pita. Their Nanaimo Bars (P50.00) is another favorite. It is a bar dessert which requires no baking and is named after the city of Nanaimo, British Columbia on Vancouver Island. It consists of a wafer crumb-based layer topped by a layer of custard flavored butter icing which is covered with melted chocolate made from chocolate squares. Their Canadian Bacon Pizza, pictured above is at P325.00
