Darios Grill recently re-opens their Maceda Street branch! 🦐 This is my first time at Dario's, but I heard they also have a Tondo branch. In here you can create your own boodle fight menu and their version of dinakdakan is to die for! 😋
Best eaten with bare hands! 🥘 Your choice of lechon kawali, ensaladang talong, salted eggs, crabs, boneless bangus, shrimps, stuffed grilled squid, pancit canton, okra, etc!
I haven't tried eating in a “boodle fight” way in a long while, so this experience is such a fun thing to remember.
For those who haven't try, a boodle fight, in the context of Filipino culture, is the military practice of eating a meal. A boodle fight is a meal that dispenses with cutlery and dishes. Diners instead practice kamayan, Filipino for "eating with the hands". The food is placed on top of a long banana leaf-lined trestle table and in the true military practice, diners do not sit in chairs but instead stand shoulder to shoulder in a line on both sides of the table.
Popular restaurants like Dario's Grill adapted “boodle fight” eating with the twist! Their D1 set starts at only 295 pesos! 💸
What I liked about Dario's Grill is in here you will not feel “tinipid” or short-changed! Their serving is generous enough for the hungry Pinoys! Will definitely come back to try their other offerings! 😋
