Gastronomic Adventure at SM Food Festival

They came. They saw. They feasted. Food Fest in SM Marilao was an instant hit as it features local street food and emerging dining concepts that include both new and well-established purveyors of the most hyped food concepts in town.

Unique food festivals, celebrating the very best in food and drink, are slated at SM Malls in Marilao, Baliwag, Valenzuela and Sangandaan this whole month of May.

Foodies will be delighted as the food festival features astounding range of local street food and emerging dining concepts that include both new and well-established purveyors of the most hyped food concepts in town. Each of the participating malls will feature a unique theme and special promotions so customers can indulge in seasonal food flavors with new, exclusive tastings and fun activities.

Kicking off at SM City Marilao, the mall’s atrium was a buzzed yesterday with food stalls tempting visitor’s taste buds. Juicy burgers, freshly baked empanadas and tongue-tingling lechon were all dished up satiating every foodies’ cravings.

“SM’s food festival is a celebration of diverse flavors and exciting fusion of the region’s cuisine” shares SM City Marilao Assistant Mall Manager Drev Fiesta. “From classic mouthwatering lechon to modern creation of cupcakes, the festival have something for everyone” Fiesta added.

Apart from the gastronomic adventure, the festival will also highlight the innovative spirit of culinary talents, with top chefs deftly reinventing old classics with exciting incarnations of sumptuous local favorites. On Sunday at SM City Marilao, Master Chef JP Anglo will share his cooking techniques and give some insights on creating exquisite dishes. Through a live demo, the “Rock Star” Chef would show how to elevate traditional Filipino recipes with modern flavors.

Chef JP, who is known in the culinary world for his talent and for running a portfolio of various world class restos such as Sarsa, Kafe Batwan, and Liberation Shawarma, will also treat foodies with his signature dishes and cuisine.

Food Festival in SM City Marilao will be running until May 14. Food Festivals in other SM Malls will be on May 15 in Baliwag, May 22 in Valenzuela and May 29 in Sangandaan.
