5 Loaves & 2 Fish: Soul Food, All Good

High Five Salad - P285.00

5 Loaves and 2 Fish, known for their cozy and relaxing ambiance with a wide selection of scrumptious fusion dishes is a cafe located at Ground Floor of The Rock Lifestyle Hub, Holy Spirit Drive, Don Antonio Heights in Quezon City.

The restaurant name is derived from a verse from The Bible, from Mark 6:41 to be exact.  "Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then breaking the loaves into pieces, He kept giving the bread to the disciples so they could distribute it to the people. He also divided the fish for everyone to share."

Lavosh - P250.00

Spaghetti with Chicken Parmesan - P240.00

Vongole - P248.00

This cafe restaurant has that homey vibe to it and I liked their interiors too. You'll feel you want to stay longer in this place because its quite relaxing inside. Their walls is filled with inspirational quotes that will make you think about life :P

When we visited, we've met the owner, Ms. Dinah Grace M. Miro and she said that she started her food ventures when her lavosh (soft, thin unleavened flatbread) became one of the top choices at the Our Awesome Planet's ”Ultimate Taste Test” at Mercato Centrale. She started by having a small stall in CCF Tiendesitas, and then the rest was history.

Lengua with Olives

Beef Salpicao - P345.00

BBQ Spareribs - P255.00

Salmon with Four Cheese - P385.00

For first timers, I'll recommend to try their Lavosh (or lavash) its actually a soft, thin unleavened flatbread originally from Armenia. Its popular in Western Asia and the areas surrounding the Caspian Sea. Best paired with chicken liver pate dip or pesto brulee

Another must try is their High 5 Salad, filled with sundried tomatoes, candied pili nuts, diced guava fruits, shaved parmesan cheese sprinkled with honey comb bits. Their Beef Salpicao and Vongole is to die for!

For dessert, their Table Cake made from pure cacao from Davao is something you shouldn't miss. Surprisingly its not too sweet just right for my liking. 5 Loaves & 2 Fish supports the the Love Lokal campaign which aims to support local producers.

Overall, visiting 5 Loaves & 2 Fish is a happy experience. The food, the ambiance, the staffs are A-OK! Almost every corner is instagrammable! A bit on the pricey side, but the quality of their food will makes up for it. Will definitely come back soon.
